I am so happy to share that the Laboratorium Twórców educational project (Eventprofs Creators Lab)  has been recognised as a finalist in the Initiative category of the esteemed MP Impact Awards 2024 by MeetingPlanner.pl. Being selected as one of the top projects in this contest is a tremendous honour, and it reflects the commitment and creativity of everyone involved.

The project in numbers

When drafting the Laboratorium Twórców concept, I never imagined we would achieve such success. The project is implemented by the Poland Convention Bureau – Polish Tourism Organisation. I have the honour of being its initiator and coordinator, and I also personally lead some of the training sessions and online consultations.

Thank you, Aneta Książek (Head of the Poland Convention Bureau), for placing your trust in me and for your dedicated engagement in this unique project for MICE professionals in Poland.

Through the Polish Tourism Organisation – Poland Convention Bureau, we are committed to delivering initiatives that are driven by passion, industry knowledge, and a relentless desire to create meaningful impact.

Let me share some standout achievements from the Laboratorium Twórców  for 2023-2024:

  • 14 on-site events
  • 780+ participants
  • 70+ hours of workshops, sessions, and consultations
  • Collaboration with leading industry partners, convention bureaux, associations, and academic institutions
  • 7 distinguished external experts
  • 7 vibrant Polish cities

Thank you experts

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our experts, partners, and all the participants of our workshops, training sessions, and events. Your engagement and enthusiasm have been instrumental in reaching this milestone.

A special mention must go to the brilliant professionals from outside the meetings and events industry who have enriched our initiative with their diverse perspectives. Their contributions have not only expanded the horizons of our participants but have also opened doors to new, inspiring projects.

Deep gratitude for their invaluable input goes to:

  • Dagmara Plata-Alf
  • Rafal Szymanski
  • Klaudia Chwastek
  • Jacek Adamczak and Piotr Szkoda
  • Edita Kalesinskaite
  • Bogdan Gałązka, PhD

Training sessions and workshops are also conducted by Aneta Ksiazek, Head of the Poland Convention Bureau, and myself.

Sessions in Polish Cities

During our regional sessions in cities such as Wrocław, Katowice, Szczecin, Lublin, and Kielce, I had the pleasure of staying longer and exploring local attractions, hotels, conference venues, and unique locations.

Thanks to the generous hospitality of the convention bureaux and their partners, I captured these experiences in photos, videos, and content that have since reached wider audiences online. These visits have also served as invaluable inspiration for creating fresh industry articles.

A warm thank you to the teams at Convention Bureau – Wrocław, Silesia Convention Bureau, Lubelskie Convention Bureau, Świętokrzyskie Convention Bureau, and Szczecin Convention Bureau for their unwavering support and collaboration.

Additional academic and industry partners

Additionally, I would like to express my gratitude to:

  • Vistula School of Hospitality in Warsaw
  • Student Business Tourism Research Club 2B in Warsaw
  • Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw
  • SITE Poland – Society for Incentive Travel Excellence

These organisations have offered invaluable opportunities to connect with the future leaders of our industry, playing a vital role in shaping the next generation of talent. A significant number of students from these institutions, as well as participants from Erasmus projects and SITE Young Leaders, actively took part in our dedicated training sessions.

The MP Impact Awards

The MP Impact Awards® is a prestigious contest in Poland organised by MeetingPlanner.pl, aimed at recognising, highlighting, and promoting initiatives, campaigns, and events that significantly impact the functioning and development of the meetings and events industry. The awards celebrate exceptional efforts that tackle important challenges or solve pressing issues within the sector on a local, national, or international scale.

The objective of the Contest

The goal of the MP Impact Awards® is to:

  • Honour initiatives, campaigns, and events that demonstrate innovative and meaningful contributions to the meetings and events industry.
  • Showcase best practices and exemplary actions undertaken by organisations directly or indirectly involved in the sector.
  • Drive recognition for projects that help the industry evolve, meet challenges, and address its most critical needs.

Structure of the Awards

The contest is conducted in two phases:

  1. Initial Selection – Submissions are reviewed by a distinguished jury panel chaired by Dominik Górka (Live Age). Finalists are selected based on the quality and impact of their projects.
  2. Final Presentation and Voting –  Finalists present their projects at the MP Impact Summit, held this year on 18 December. During the event, project representatives answer questions from the jury and the audience. The winners are decided by a combined vote of the jury and attendees, ensuring a diverse and inclusive selection process.

Outcome and Recognition

The winning and finalist projects are featured in the MP Impact Report, providing visibility and inspiration to the wider industry. During the gala ceremony, winners are awarded the iconic Impact statuettes, symbolising their outstanding achievements. The MP Impact Awards® not only celebrate success but also encourage the sharing of innovative ideas, fostering growth and collaboration across the meetings and events industry.

Final Thoughts from Organisers

Workshops and training sessions take place during the Poland Convention Bureau’s events as well as at the invitation of local partners during their key events. This approach not only strengthens outreach to target groups but also enriches the content and value of these events.

“The project addresses market needs and trends by delivering thoughtful education and practical support for current and future leaders in this sector. It reaches both experienced professionals and the younger generation, highlighting its broad impact on diverse audience groups,” said Aneta Książek, Head of the Poland Convention Bureau.

The initiative includes not only training sessions across various locations in Poland but also the exchange of inspiration through a dedicated LinkedIn group and individual online consultations.

“I have always been fascinated by the connection between the online world and the real one. Behind personal and corporate profiles on platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn are often individuals passionate about creating digital content. At the Laboratory of Creators, we aim to support their development, inspire action, and help them stay on top of the latest trends. While the internet can also bring about many negative phenomena, online marketing offers extraordinary opportunities for promotion and building lasting relationships—both business and personal. We are delighted that so many experts from outside our industry accept invitations to participate in this project. Their involvement not only enhances the experiences of training and workshop participants but also opens us up to entirely new perspectives,” added Jarosław Marciuk, Senior Marketing Specialist at the Poland Convention Bureau and the initiator of the project.
