Wow, what an incredible few days it’s been at the Conventa Trade Show in Ljubljana! Although the Polish Tourism Organisation – Poland Convention Bureau has taken part three times, this was my first time at Conventa in the beautiful capital of Slovenia – and what a debut it was!
Destinations Campfire Panel
Conventa isn’t just about business meetings. The networking events were a fantastic chance to connect with new people in a more relaxed setting—and I made some great connections that I know will lead to exciting projects in the future!
One of the highlights for me was definitely the Destinations Campfire panel. It was an honour to present alongside colleagues from Montenegro, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Serbia, and Slovakia, showcasing some of the most exciting events, congress venues, and hotels from our countries.

Hats off to the entire Conventa team and their partners – they put together an outstanding trade show at the GR-Ljubljana Exhibition & Convention Centre (the stunning Marmorna Hall!) and organised some truly memorable experiences and events:
- City Tour with Visit Ljubljana guide – loved hearing about the city’s impressive sustainability efforts, especially the car-free city centre
- Conventa 42° North Conference – packed with insights and inspiration
- Welcome Reception at Grand Union Hall, Grand Hotel Union Eurostars – the perfect way to kick off Conventa in style
- Meetings Star Awards Gala at CD Congress Centre Ljubljana / Cankarjev dom Kongresni Centre Ljubljana – a night to remember!

Over the course of the trade show, I had more than 20 scheduled meetings, chatting with industry professionals about potential collaborations, Poland’s latest developments, transport accessibility, safety, incentive programmes, and specific conference requests.
Looking back, it was an unforgettable experience in Ljubljana, Slovenia – so much inspiration, new friendships, exciting opportunities, and proud moments to celebrate.
I’m already counting down the days until the next edition of Conventa. Conventa 2026 will be held in Ljubljana from 10 to 12 February 2026.
